Membership Requirements
and Procedures
Thank you for your interest in the Philadelphia Seniors Golf Association.
The applicant must be fifty (50) years of age when applying. At the time of his admittance to membership, he must be a “full golf member”, in good standing, in an approved Golf or Country Club associated with the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP). He must have an approved USGA Index, a GAP GHIN number and be approved by the membership committee. No House, Non-Resident, or members restricted in any way to playing golf will be accepted.
The applicant must have a Proposer and a Seconder, who are members of the applicants Club and members of PSGA. If the applicant is a member of an approved Club in which there are no PSGA members, the Proposer and Seconder must be from different Clubs.
Knowledge of at least 6 other PSGA members is required.
An application fee of fifty dollars ($50.00), accompanying the completed application form, will place the applicant on our waiting list. There can be no more than 16 members from each GAP Club as members of PSGA at any one time.
Applicants on the Waiting List are required to attend two outings/events before being elected to membership. There are six (6) regular one day outing/tournaments and two three (3) day events (Spring and Fall) each season.
Your best way of becoming an applicant, is to contact a member of the PSGA from your Club, he will request an application form from the membership committee and get the “ball” rolling on your behalf. If you have no members from your Club in PSGA, then please contact PSGA and I will assist you in getting the necessary sponsorship to help you through this process.
We look forward to having you become a member of PSGA.
